McClintic Public Library
An Architectural Rendering of the beautiful McClintic Library

Here are some pictures taken in the new McClintic Library just before Christmas 2001

We are really excited about being in our new building where we have lots of room for books, computers, visiting classes from the Elementary School and study groups.

We would like to remind you that we can still use your help with a project that is very important to the future of the county we all love - the upgrading of public library services

Pocahontas County is a great place to live - but our isolated location poses some real problems when it comes to getting access to information people need - to do business, enhance their educations, and discover answers to practical problems of everyday life.

For years the Pocahontas County Libraries have done a good job of providing recreational reading and activities for children.

Now we have taken on a more ambitious goal: providing the modern, technology-based information services Pocahontas County needs to make a successful entry into the 21st Century.

And this progress will also benefit you when you come to visit - or to retire - and want access to the kind of library services that are available in larger communities.

Our new building in Marlinton has lots of separate office space and meeting rooms to help make this a valuable addition
to our community resources.

Visit soon, enjoy our new home and help make our community strong and well informed.

We've extended the hours into the evenings at all locations to make our resources available to all our patrons.

The future is bright for the Pocahontas County Free Libraries - but we still need your help to convert our dreams into reality.
Specifically, we're asking you to pledge your support to the new McClintic Library and upgrade of the Green Bank Library.

Help us to build a brighter future for Pocahontas County - and to develop two first-class public facilities of which all of us can be proud.

We have posted a pledge form for your convenience. Please give me a call or send e-mail if you have any questions about these projects.

Sincerely,
Allen Johnson, Director
Pocahontas County Free Libraries
