Hate Groups The Southern Poverty Law Center Combating Hate • Organizations • Resources		Overview For several years Pocahontas County has received national attention as it is the national headquarters for the racialist organization, The National Alliance. The Southern Poverty Law Center, an organization internationally recognized for its legal victories over white supremacist groups and its tracking of hate groups, considers The National Alliance as America's leading neo-Nazi group. This page is a function of the Pocahontas Libraries' responsibility to provide a platform for educating the public about issues of local import. Plans are to develop a collection of materials on racialist groups and their ideologies as an educational resource for West Virginia and the surrounding region. Contributions both financial and in collection materials are welcome. Please note that parental supervision may be advisable for some of the contents and links in this site.
