What We Can Do For You

PCL-VIC has an array of services to help you through our collections and outside of them. Here's what we have to offer:

Our Collections

Library Card Information

Your first library card is free! With an adult library card, a patron can check out up to 10 books at one time from any of our five libraries. With a children's card, a patron can check out up to 5 books at one time.

Signing Up Online

Complete the form below to sign-up for a library card online. The first time you use your card in the library, you will be asked for identification before borrowing physical materials. This card will allow you to borrow ebooks and e-audiobooks from WVReads.

You can also use this form to update your current library card information.




Signing Up In-Person

To sign up in person, go to your closest library location and bring a photo ID with a current address, OR two of the following:

• Piece of recently cancelled mail received by patron at their current address
• Driver’s license
• Social security card
• Birth certificate
• Military ID
• Passport
• Check book with current address
• Voter registration card with current address

Fax Services

Faxing is 50 cents per page, either sending or recieving.


Photocopies are 20 cents per page. Double-sided copies are 30 cents per page. The student discount is 10 cents per page. McClintic has a color copier; color copies are 50 cents per page.


Cards such as Social Security cards are 50 cents. A full page (8" x 11.5") is one dollar, Available at the McClintic and Green Bank Libraries. 

Notary Public

You can have documents notarized at McClintic Public Library and the Green Bank Public Library during regular library hours. You must bring current ID with you in order to have anything notarized. There is no fee for this service, but donations are accepted.

Computers & WiFi

The use of computers and WiFi at the libraries is free of charge and does not require a library card. The exception is the Green Bank Public Library, which does not have WiFi due to the location near the Green Bank Observatory.

Library events are open to all and do not require a library card. See our calendar of events here.

Book Sale

All the libraries operate an ongoing book sale that offers books, magazines and movies for purchase.
