Overdue Materials Policy

Patrons with overdue materials will receive a first reminder at two weeks, a second reminder at four weeks, and a third reminder in writing at six weeks. All library privileges will be suspended with the third notification. Overdue items must be returned or paid for in order to reinstate borrowing privileges.

Materials that are overdue will accrue fines of .05 cents per day, with a maximum fee of $2.00 per item. Videos and DVDs are .50 cents per day, with a maximum of $2.00.

Patrons who owe fines of $10.00 or more will have borrowing privileges suspended at all five libraries until all fines are paid.

Patrons are responsible for damaged or lost library materials. The replacement fee for an item is determined by the current cost of that particular item. A processing fee of $3.00 per item will be added to the replacement cost.

A library may not collect overdue fines for another library.
